Job summary

JBA International, LLC is seeking an experienced plaintiff-side elder abuse litigator in California to join our team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will handle serious injury, wrongful death, and dependent adult matters from intake through resolution.

Candidates must have a CA Bar license, 5+ years of relevant litigation experience, and the ability to manage cases independently. Strong deposition, discovery, and negotiation skills are essential, with experience coordinating medical experts

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• 5+ years of relevant litigation experience.
• Direct experience handling California elder abuse and dependent adult matters.
• Plaintiff-side experience preferred.
• Nursing home, assisted living, rehabilitation facility, and healthcare abuse/neglect matters.
• Wrongful death and serious injury cases involving elderly or dependent adults.
• Ability to independently manage cases from intake through resolution.
• Strong experience with complaints, pleadings, motions, discovery, and mediation briefs.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Experience working with medical records, medical experts, investigators, and other experts.
• Hearings, mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and trial experience.
• Strong case valuation, negotiation, and litigation strategy skills.
• Excellent client communication and case-management skills.

Job description

Pay Range: $200K - $275K+ bonus for each case settled

• Compensation will depend on direct elder abuse experience, litigation and trial background, and overall qualifications
