Overview

We are a rapidly growing Plaintiffs’ Elder Abuse & Personal Injury law firm, headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, with offices throughout California. We are seeking an experienced Elder Abuse & Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join the team, preferably in the Century City office, but permissible in any office.

The successful candidate must have five or more (5+) years of Elder Abuse law firm experience. Both plaintiff and defense side attorneys will be considered. The firm will train a great attorney candidate in personal injury law. The selected attorney must be able to travel throughout California for court hearings, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trial litigation. The expected salary is $200,000 - $270,000 per year, depending on qualifications, skills, and experience, supplemented by per-case bonuses. The firm offers a benefits package, a 401k plan, PTO, sick days, paid holidays, and free parking. The position is hybrid, requiring four days in office and one remote day; an extremely highly qualified candidate may be permitted to work remotely full-time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct necessary and desirable legal research
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings; discovery; discovery responses; legal memoranda; motions and responses; memoranda of law; mediation briefs; pre-trial memoranda; trial briefs; motions in limine; other trial motions and documents; post-trial motions; and appeals as necessary.
• Make all necessary and desirable court filings
• Conduct, defend, and attend depositions
• Interview, retain, depose, and prepare experts as necessary
• Set up motions
• Engage in motion practice
• Attend and argue at motion hearings
• Make all required, necessary, and desirable court appearances
• Participate in arbitrations and mediations
• Prepare assiduously for trial
• Serve as trial counsel
• Adhere strictly to deadlines
• Communicate regularly with clients on the status of their matters
• Work collaboratively and effectively with team members

Qualifications

• Admission to the State Bar of California
