Job summary

Orion Placement seeks a senior Learning & Development leader to design and oversee transactional training for attorneys across markets. This hybrid role blends corporate law experience with curriculum design, training delivery, and leadership coaching.

You will partner with practice leaders to tailor curricula, create simulations, evaluate programs, and support onboarding for new and lateral transactional lawyers in Boston, Chicago, and Miami.

Qualifications

• Active JD and bar license in the relevant state.
• At least 4 years of experience as an associate.
• Minimum 2 years in corporate or transactional law.

Responsibilities

• Partner with practice leaders to identify training needs and priorities.
• Design and oversee transactional training curricula for attorneys at different levels.
• Create engaging in-person and digital learning experiences to strengthen legal skills.
• Develop simulations to build experience and confidence in transactions.
• Evaluate programs using feedback and performance data to improve initiatives.
• Lead needs assessments, surveys, and learning analytics to measure impact.
• Support onboarding and integration programs for new and lateral attorneys.
• Collaborate across teams to align programs with business priorities.
• Manage and mentor junior professional development staff.
• Stay current on learning technologies and trends in transactional law.
