Orionplacement is seeking a seasoned attorney with strong transactional experience to design and lead our attorney training programs. The role blends curriculum development, simulations, and coaching to strengthen practical skills and professional judgment.

The position offers a hybrid work model with collaboration across major markets in Boston, Chicago, and Miami, and opportunities for leadership growth within a sophisticated legal organization.

Qualifications

• JD and active bar license in the state of practice.
• 4+ years of associate-level experience, including corporate/transactional law.
• 2+ years directly relevant corporate or transactional law experience.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with practice leaders to identify attorney training needs and development priorities.
• Design and oversee transactional training curricula tailored to different levels and functions.
• Create engaging in-person and digital learning experiences to strengthen legal skills.
• Develop simulations to give associates practical experience and confidence.
• Evaluate programs using feedback and performance data for continuous improvement.
• Lead assessments, focus groups, surveys, and analytics to measure effectiveness.
• Support onboarding for new and lateral transactional attorneys.
• Collaborate across teams to align programs with business priorities and market trends.
• Manage and mentor direct reports within the professional development team.
• Stay current on learning technologies and trends in transactional training.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) and active bar license in the state where you live.
• 4+ years of experience as an associate.
• 2+ years of corporate or transactional law experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience collaborating effectively in virtual and cross-functional teams.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
