Job summary

State of Wisconsin’s DSPS is seeking a licensed attorney to join the Division of Legal Services and Compliance in Madison. This LTE role provides legal services across multiple clients and disciplinary matters, with a hybrid schedule and a requirement to work from the Hill Farms Building at least 2 days per week.

The position handles investigations of complaints, advises clients, negotiates resolutions, and may initiate formal disciplinary actions when needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to practice law in Wisconsin at time of deadline.
• Experience researching and interpreting legal authority.
• Experience drafting legal analyses and opinion letters or documents.

Responsibilities

• Investigate complaints against credential holders and regulatory authorities.
• Assist professionals in achieving compliance and negotiate dispositions.
