Job summary

Delta Dental of Wisconsin seeks a Staff Attorney to provide legal assistance on regulatory matters across the organization in a hybrid role with a Madison preference. In-office collaboration is expected on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, with remote work possible for qualified candidates within Wisconsin.

You will support HIPAA privacy compliance, advise on Wisconsin insurance laws, and monitor regulatory developments to keep DDWI compliant while supporting subsidiaries and affiliated entities.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or better in Law or related field.
• Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin or ability to waive into the Wisconsin bar.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining corporate compliance with HIPAA privacy provisions and related contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with Compliance and Legal to maintain compliance with Wisconsin insurance laws.
• Research and advise on applicable insurance regulations inside and outside Wisconsin.
• Conduct legal research to provide timely advice relevant to department issues.
• Monitor changing laws and codes and coordinate company-wide legal initiatives.
