Job description

This position is located in the Office of Human Resources, Conflict Management Unit of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and is responsible for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and providing advice and counsel to senior management officials on conflict management matters.

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. For CG-13, To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 12-gradelevel or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes conducting legal research and analysis relating to the interpretation of the statutes and regulations or legislation that apply to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR); and drafting memoranda and legal documents.

For CG-14, To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13-gradelevel or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes applying Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) principles, practices, and techniques to resolve workplace disputes; and drafting memoranda and legal documents.

Specialized experience must be directly related to the position being filled and is experience gained after issuance of bar membership.
