Job description

Recruiting for an Unpublished Litigation Role for an Associate with 3-8 years of litigation experience. Fantastic firm in DC. Hire should have healthcare litigation/investigations experience OR an interest in healthcare litigation/investigations.

What they are looking for:

Hire should have federal district and appellate court experience — briefing, procedural and substantive motions practice, dispositive motions experience. Ideally, the hire will have healthcare litigation and investigations experience. Experience with federal courts, APA/administrative law, appellate work is a plus.

Must-Haves:

• Excellent legal writing, including meticulous proofreading
• Strong analytical skills: demonstrated ability to independently construct and defend a contested legal position (more than supporting more senior attorneys and following their instructions)
• Comfort owning a matter (or question/issue if more junior) and developing independent views on strategy vs executing assigned tasks

Breakdown of practice:

Work will be focused on healthcare litigation, particularly reimbursement, fraud and abuse, false claims act, internal investigations.

Salary range:

$170k-$250k + base but depends on seniority and experience. Bonuses up to $65k. There is a separate bonus for generating a new client (10% of receipts for the first year).

1800 billable requirement. 4 days in office in DC
