Position Overview

TTH is seeking an experienced General Liability Attorney to represent insurance and corporate clients in general liability matters in our New York City office. The ideal candidate is a skilled litigator who can manage a caseload independently, deliver strong results for clients, and contribute to the firm's collaborative and growth-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of general liability defense matters from intake through resolution, including pre-litigation, discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal as needed.
• Represent clients in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration, administrative, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
• Develop and execute case strategy in coordination with clients, adjusters, and defense teams.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with clients regarding case status, strategy, and outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in good standing in the relevant state(s); additional bar admissions in the multiple state’s is a plus.
• Prior experience in civil litigation defense; general liability experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated litigation skills, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial experience.
