Job summary

The attorney will handle pre-litigation through appeals, represent clients in various tribunals, conduct research, draft documents, depose witnesses, and coordinate with defense teams to develop case

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice in the relevant state(s).
• Prior civil litigation defense experience preferred.
• Strong litigation skills including motion practice, discovery, and trial.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of workers' compensation matters from intake through resolution.
• Represent clients in state and federal courts, arbitration, and other proceedings.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.

Position Overview

TTH is seeking an experienced Workers Compensation Attorney to represent insurance and corporate clients in our Mount Laurel, NJ office. The ideal candidate is a skilled litigator who can manage a caseload independently, deliver strong results for clients, and contribute to the firm's collaborative and growth-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of workers compensation matters from intake through resolution, including pre-litigation, discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal as needed.
• Represent clients in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration, administrative, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
• Develop and execute case strategy in coordination with clients, adjusters, and defense teams.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with clients regarding case status, strategy, and outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations where appropriate.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to ensure efficient and high-quality case handling.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in good standing in the relevant state(s); additional bar admissions in the multiple state’s is a plus.
• Prior experience in civil litigation defense; general liability experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated litigation skills, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial experience.
