• Associate's degree or paralegal certificate required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior paralegal experience in civil litigation defense preferred; insurance defense or general liability experience a plus.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and court rules in relevant jurisdictions.

Responsabilidades

• Assist attorneys through all phases of civil litigation from intake to resolution
• Draft, proofread, and format pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, correspondence, and subpoenas
• Organize and maintain case files, discovery materials, and exhibits
• Conduct legal and factual research to support case strategy
• Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial logistics
• Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, court personnel, and opposing counsel
• Prepare trial exhibits, binders, and materials; assist with trial preparation
• Track deadlines, statutes of limitations, and filing requirements
• Assist with e-filing in state and federal courts
• Review and summarize medical records and other documents
• Support discovery management including document review and production
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion

About the Role

Position Overview TTH is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal to support our attorneys in the litigation and defense of general liability, transportation, professional malpractice, product liability, insurance coverage, commercial, labor and employment, and related matters. The ideal candidate is proactive, thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work that supports the firm's commitment to service and results.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with all phases of civil litigation, from case intake through trial and resolution
• Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and subpoenas
• Organize, manage, and maintain case files, discovery materials, and exhibits in both physical and electronic formats
• Conduct legal and factual research to support case strategy and attorney preparation
• Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial logistics
• Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, court personnel, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel as directed
• Prepare and organize trial exhibits, binders, and materials; assist with trial preparation and support
• Track case deadlines, statutes of limitations, and court filing requirements using case management or calendaring systems
• Assist with e-filing in state and federal courts
• Review and summarize medical records, depositions, and other case documents
• Support attorneys with discovery management, including document review and production
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Prior paralegal experience in civil litigation defense strongly preferred; experience with insurance defense or general liability matters a plus
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and court rules in relevant state and federal jurisdictions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
