Job summary

LanceSoft, Inc. in Tennessee seeks an attorney licensed in TN to represent the department in administrative law cases before health-related boards. The role is hybrid, with a JD and TN Bar in good standing and at least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.

You will review complaints and assist investigators, handling all phases of litigation—discovery, motions, and trials—while managing a robust caseload and collaborating within a team.

• Manage a robust caseload at various phases of litigation.
• Assist with legislative projects, including bill analysis.

Job description

Work Hours: Mon – Fri – 8AM – 4:30PM CST

Position: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the department in administrative law cases before various health-related boards.
• Review complaints and investigations involving healthcare licensees practicing in any of Tennessee’s 89 rural counties.
• Provide legal support for department investigators and licensing board consultants.
• For those cases for which formal discipline is warranted, handle all aspects of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trials.
• Ability to competently manage a robust case load at various phases of litigation.
• Assist with legislative projects as assigned, including bill analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate should have litigation experience that includes trials, the ability to manage and prioritize a large volume of work, excellent verbal and written communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.

Education:

• JD, admitted to TN Bar with a license in good standing required. At least 1 year of relevant legal experience preferred.
