The attorney will review the Department’s contracts and grants and certify them for legal sufficiency, provide legal guidance on procurement, vendor transitions, regulatory and contract compliance, participate in vendor bid protests, and perform risk assessments. Additionally, responsibilities include assisting with public records requests and rulemaking projects, advising on special projects, and conducting bill analysis. The position requires weekly in-office time and is a contract position not eligible for state employee benefits; the successful candidate should obtain their own professional liability insurance.
