Qualifications

• Firm is open to training the right candidate for earlier-career attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters across a variety of practice areas, from case intake through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
• Take and defend depositions, and attend hearings and other court appearances.
• Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel.
• Support creditors' rights and transactional matters as needed.

About the Firm

Our client is a seven-year-old, litigation-focused firm with a strong and growing book of business. Approximately 80% of the practice is litigation, split roughly 70/30 between plaintiff and defense work, with additional matters in creditors' rights and transactional work. The firm offers a collaborative, small-firm environment where attorneys get substantive experience early and work directly with firm leadership.

The firm's office is a beautiful, open-concept space in a vibrant Kansas City neighborhood, and it offers a flexible hybrid schedule.

The Role

The firm is open to candidates across a range of experience levels, from 1 to 7 years. Responsibilities and compensation will be tailored to each candidate's background.

• Manage litigation matters across a variety of practice areas, from case intake through resolution

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $90,000–$155,000, commensurate with experience
• 1,500 annual billable hour requirement
