Job summary

Sugarman Law LLP in Atlanta is seeking an experienced litigator to join one of Atlanta's most unique and innovative law firms. The ideal candidate brings at least four years of litigation experience and is ready to take on substantive responsibility from day one.

You will manage complex trust & estate and business litigation matters, draft and argue motions, conduct depositions and trials, and work closely with clients to shape litigation strategy in a collaborative, boutique environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Georgia State Bar membership or eligibility for admission.
• 4+ years of litigation experience, preferably in trust & estate or business litigation.
• Strong written and oral advocacy; detail-oriented and organized.
• Client-focused with excellent interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of trust & estate and business litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, briefs, and other court filings
• Conduct depositions, hearings, and trials
• Develop and execute litigation strategy in collaboration with colleagues

The Role

We are seeking an Experienced Litigator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate brings at least four years of litigation experience and is ready to take on substantive responsibility from day one. You will manage complex cases, work closely with clients, and play an active role in shaping litigation strategy across our core practice areas.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of trust & estate and business litigation matters from inception through resolution


• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, briefs, and other court filings


• Conduct depositions, hearings, and trials


• Develop and execute litigation strategy in collaboration with colleagues


• Advise and communicate directly with clients throughout the litigation process


• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school


• Active membership in the Georgia State Bar (or eligibility for admission)


• 2+ years of litigation experience, (a plus if in trust & estate or business litigation)


• Strong written and oral advocacy skills


• Proven ability to manage complex litigation independently


• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills


• Client-focused mindset with strong interpersonal communication

Preferred Experience

• Experience in probate court and fiduciary litigation


• Familiarity with Georgia trust and estate law


• Experience in commercial disputes, partnership matters, or business torts
