Job summary

Fairview Skilled Rehabilitation Center & Nursing Home in New York seeks a compassionate Attending Physician (MD/DO) to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. The physician will provide hands-on, patient-centered medical care, oversee clinical decision-making, and supervise mid-level providers in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active New York State Medical License and Board Certification/Eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee medical care for residents in skilled rehab and long-term care.
• Conduct evaluations, follow-ups, and change-in-condition assessments.
• Supervise mid-level providers and limited permit physicians as applicable.
• Coordinate admissions, readmissions, discharges, and care planning.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
• Collaborate with nursing, rehab, social work, and administration.
