Job summary

Fairview Skilled Rehab & Nursing Home in New York is seeking a Limited Doctor/Physician to gain U.S. clinical experience in geriatric and rehabilitative care. This role is ideal for recent medical graduates, IMGs, or physicians pursuing residency applications.

You will conduct patient evaluations, develop care plans, and work with a multidisciplinary team to manage post-acute and long-term residents. The opportunity includes mentorship and letters of recommendation to strengthen residency

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• USMLE Step 1 & Step 2 completed (preferred).
• Eligible for a Limited License or Temporary Physician Permit.
• Interest in geriatric, rehabilitative, and internal medicine.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations for residents and rehabilitation patients.
• Develop and oversee treatment plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Manage acute and chronic medical conditions in a skilled nursing facility.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
• Document all patient interactions in the EMR system.
• Participate in case discussions and care planning meetings.
