Overview

The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for maintaining the tool crib and any items, which may be used in the plant for personal protection, machine repair, cleaning and sanitation, lubrications. Additionally, to receive and issuing these items to the plant floor or support personnel. The items in the stockroom are placed on shelves with heavier items placed strategically for removal. Lighter items are placed on the extremes either lowest or highest. Some shelves are quite high, and ladder is required for getting to these items. Heavier items are moved by hand truck and/or pallet jacks or cherry pickers. The aisles are arranged such that these mechanized lifting devices can be used extensively in this department.

Schedule: M-F 8 hours 6:30am – 2:30pm, or as required by manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

Maintains accurate stock part levels in all locations. Accurately process daily transaction sheets. Generates purchase requisitions. Identify, locate and issue stockroom items and/or tools. Administrative support responsibilities as assigned. Works closely with maintenance for work order stock fulfillment. May perform pickups and deliveries to outside vendors.

Education / Experience / Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Technical ability to comprehend electrical and mechanical component industry names and basic uses
• Ability to differentiate assemblies vs component level
• Detail oriented, ability to count effectively and accurately
  • Units of measures
• Good computer skill required including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to create and work with basic spreadsheets
• Ability to obtain forklift certification required
• SAP experience preferred
• Prior experience in a stockroom environment preferred
• Ability to lift 25lbs
• Previous experience in a maintenance environment preferred
