Job summary

America's Thrift Stores in Dothan, AL is seeking a friendly Shipping and Receiving associate to join our outdoor-donor interaction and warehouse operations. You will unload trailers, sort items, and help keep our donations moving to sales and recycling efforts.

We value safety, teamwork, and dependable service; this part-time role offers flexible day shifts, a welcoming team, and opportunities to grow within a community-focused nonprofit-style thrift operation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interact with donors to accept and process donations at outdoor trailer sites.
• Receive donated items from the Donations team.
• Sort and ship recyclable items and prepare items for sale.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
• Unload trailers in a safe and efficient manner.

What Happens in Shipping and Receiving Anyway?

• Interact with donors to accept and process donations at trailer sites in an outdoor setting; provide outstanding service to all donors
• Receive newly donated items from our Donations team
• Help us be green and sustainable, sort and ship recyclable items
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work in the heat, the cold and in wet weather conditions
• Unload trailers in a safe and efficient manner
