Job summary

Princess Cruises and Holland America Line seeks a Night Public Areas Attendant at Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge. You will clean lobby areas, corridors, restrooms and other public spaces to safety standards while providing guest information and assistance.

This seasonal full-time role requires overnight work, responsiveness to guest requests, safe handling of cleaning supplies, and timely reporting of maintenance issues. Must pass background check and be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Works independently overnight to maintain cleanliness of lobby areas, hallways, restrooms, and other public areas.
• Respond to guest requests and inquiries courteously and perform delivery tasks as needed.
• Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals according to safety data sheets.
• M ake supply deliveries and maintain housekeeping closets.
• Identify and report maintenance issues.
• Respond to radio calls, texts, and inquiries from guest service desk and security teams.

Public Area Attendants set the tone for the entire property. How the property looks and feels plays a huge part in the guest experience. You will be out and about, ensuring all guest and employee areas are safe and clean according to safety standards. You provide excellent customer service and location information while supporting the overall goals of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works independently overnight to maintain the cleanliness of the lobby areas, hallways, restrooms, and other public areas.
• Respond to guest requests and inquiries in a courteous manner and preform delivery tasks.
• Handling cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals in adherence to their specified safety data sheet.
• Makes supply deliveries and maintains housekeeping closets.
• Identifies and reports maintenance issues.
• Responds to radio calls, texting apps, questions, and inquiries from the guest service desk and security teams.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Ability to prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment. You must also have the ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain attention to detail and accuracy, and supervise and manage staff.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
• Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
• Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
