Overview

Alisal, a luxury 10,500‑acre working ranch and resort in the heart of Santa Barbara Wine Country, is seeking an experienced and service‑oriented Attendant in Housekeeping. This position involves providing mainly AM service and occasionally PM service to each guest unit and assigned public areas according to Alisal Housekeeping Standards.

Responsibilities

• Check public restrooms and clean as needed, restock supplies, and remove trash.
• Load and operate electric utility carts with supplies to provide service.
• Perform all aspects of room cleanliness, including turning down beds based on the number of guests.
• Remove towels, trash, and replace fresh towels and linens.
• Wipe sink areas and tidy bathrooms.
• Refill amenities and fulfill special requests such as delivering roll‑aways, cribs, wood, starter logs, etc., when a Houseperson is unavailable.
• Report any food trays left outside or dirty dishes inside rooms to appropriate departments.
• Convert king beds to twins or vice‑versa when requested by guests or Front Desk personnel.
• Provide support to other attendants in cleaning guest units as scheduled or assigned by the supervisor.
• Report any maintenance‑related problems, damaged or missing items.
• Assist PM Housepersons with areas after cleaning or turndown duties conclude as required or assigned.
• Empty utility carts at the end of the shift, return them to proper storage, and plug the battery charger.
• Document all items left behind in guest units by departing guests (Lost and Found) and place them in appropriate storage.
• Return all supplies to Housekeeping, turn out lights, and secure units and buildings as designated.

Qualifications

• Previous Room Attendant/Housekeeping experience a plus.
• Desire to establish outstanding, authentic, and memorable interactions with internal and external guests.
• Integrity, dependability, and adaptability.
• Skill at multi‑tasking, heightened attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and organization.
• Commitment to confidentiality.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50lbs.
• Ability to work on site and stand, sit, walk, and move continuously for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to work outside, indoors, in varying temperatures.

Requirements

• Must be able to present proof of identity and legal right to work in the United States after offer, pre‑employment.
