Job summary

Kingman Unified School District #20 is seeking an Attendance Officer to help maintain accurate student attendance records, ensure compliance with state reporting, and perform essential clerical duties.

The role involves collaborating with district staff, conducting home visits for attendance concerns, and organizing meetings with parents to uphold the district's truancy interventions and policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must pass criminal background check and obtain Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Valid driver’s license required
• Preferred: Associate degree or higher; Criminal justice or office experience in a school setting; Experience using Synergy

Responsibilities

• Respond to internal and external customers promptly and professionally
• Assist in attendance training for staff
• Assess attendance issues and conduct home visits
• Lead meetings with parents/guardians about attendance policies and truancy processes
• Provide guidance to families on attendance and school partnership
• Communicate with students to support growth and attendance
• Support administrators and staff on attendance policies and record-keeping
• Prepare written reports on attendance violations and related documentation
