Job Responsibilities

The Attendance/Truancy Officer ensures that school-age children attend school regularly by investigating the causes of unexcused and/or excessive absences and assisting families in identifying and removing barriers to consistent attendance. The Attendance/Truancy Officer will also address residency concerns, represent the school in court, and make referrals to Children and Youth Services when appropriate.
