Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Atlassian Migration Architect to lead the technical architecture and migration strategy for Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence. You will drive enterprise-scale Data Center to Cloud migrations, establish governance, and serve as the primary technical advisor for clients throughout the migration lifecycle within the Cloud Infrastructure and Security team.

Qualifications

Minimum 8+ years architecting Atlassian environments (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence).
Proven experience leading Data Center to Cloud migrations with JCMA and CCMA.
Ability to define cloud governance models and environment strategies.
Strong knowledge of IAM integrations (Okta, SAML SSO, SCIM).
Experience standardizing Jira/Confluence workflows, permissions, and naming conventions.

Responsibilities

Own the technical architecture and migration strategy for Jira products and Confluence.
Assess environments, data volumes, workflows, and migration readiness.
Define cloud enterprise architecture and governance standards.
Design migration waves, pilots, cutover plans, rollback strategies, and reconciliation processes.
Lead discovery workshops, migration rehearsals, and issue resolution.
Establish governance controls and delegated administration models.
Evaluate marketplace apps and integration dependencies for migration planning.
Define migration acceptance criteria and ensure data integrity and sign-off.
