Job summary

Cloudatus is seeking an experienced Atlassian Cloud Administrator to support Jira Cloud, Confluence Cloud and Jira Service Management across global teams. You will configure projects, workflows, permissions and spaces, troubleshoot issues and drive automation and self‑service improvements.

The role emphasizes hands‑on administration, business consultation, and user support in an international remote setting. Strong English communication and structured work habits are essential.

Job description

As an Atlassian Cloud Administrator, you will support the daily administration and continuous improvement of a global Atlassian Cloud environment, working across Jira Cloud, Confluence Cloud and Jira Service Management.

The role combines hands‑on administration, business consultation and user support. You will configure and maintain Jira projects, workflows and permissions, support existing Jira Service Management projects, and help teams organize and manage their Confluence spaces. You will also troubleshoot issues, maintain documentation and identify opportunities for automation and improved self‑service.

Your Responsibilities

• Advise business teams on how to use Jira, Confluence and Jira Service Management effectively

• Translate business requirements into sustainable Atlassian configurations and explain available options clearly to non‑technical users

• Set up and maintain Jira projects, including project structures, workflows, issue types, fields, screens, boards, permissions and related schemes

• Support and maintain existing JSM projects, including request types, forms, custom fields, workflows, queues, customer‑facing settings and service‑project configuration

• Support Confluence space administration, permissions, page restrictions, templates and documentation structures

• Assist with Confluence content migrations and editor‑related improvements

• Create and update self‑service articles, process documentation, operating procedures and simple usage policies.

• Investigate and resolve access, configuration, usability and integration issues

• Identify opportunities for standardisation, automation and improved self‑service

• Assess the impact of proposed changes on existing configurations and follow established standards.

• Document changes and communicate them clearly to business users

• Handle standard requests independently and coordinate with internal administrators when broader governance or approval is required

Your Profile

• Practical experience as an Atlassian Site Administrator, Jira Space Administrator and Confluence Space Administrator.

• Hands‑on administration experience with Jira Cloud, Confluence Cloud and Jira Service Management

• Strong understanding of Jira project architecture, including project types, administration models, workflows, schemes, fields, issue hierarchies, boards, permissions and roles

• Ability to set up Jira projects correctly from the beginning and advise business teams on appropriate project structures

• Strong understanding of the Atlassian Cloud permission model, including global permissions, project permissions, space permissions, groups, roles and page restrictions

• Experience supporting JSM projects owned by users without a technical administration background

• Ability to understand business requirements, assess configuration impacts and recommend maintainable solutions

• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical topics in business language

• A structured, reliable and independent working style, with the ability to prioritise and resolve service requests

• A service‑oriented approach, strong documentation habits and confidence working in an international environment

Nice to Have

• Ability to build and maintain rules in Jira Automation

• Familiarity with REST APIs and CSV imports

• Hands‑on knowledge of Atlassian Marketplace apps and administration consoles

• Experience administering Rovo or AI agents

• Working knowledge of Jira Assets

• Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, SCIM or SAML
