Job summary

LKQ Europe is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure and Identity Engineer to manage cloud and identity infrastructures across the organization. The role drives migration and consolidation projects for cloud resources, messaging, and identity platforms, and contributes to solution architectures.

Responsibilities include implementing changes, developing architectures, and preparing technical plans aligned with security and enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a full-time senior system engineer role.
• Strong understanding of Cloud Technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI).
• High proficiency in Entra ID and Microsoft 365 services.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory Domain Services.
• Availability and willingness to travel.
• Fluency in both verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Implementing infrastructure changes and maintenance routines; identifying and supporting resolution of operational problems in line with agreed standards.
• Contributing to the development of solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure or functional areas.
• Producing specifications of cloud-based or on-premises components, tiers and interfaces for translation into detailed designs using selected services.
• Supporting change programs or projects by preparing technical plans and applying design principles in compliance with enterprise and solution architecture standards (including security).
• Developing implementation plans for complex change requests; assessing potential risks to the integrity of the service environment and reviewing the effectiveness of implementation.
• Recommending improvements to organizational procedures governing change management, and leading the assessment, analysis, development, documentation and implementation of changes.
• Investigating minor security breaches according to established procedures and assisting users in defining their access rights and privileges, as well as performing and resolving non-standard security administration issues.
• Utilizing sustained knowledge in at least one identifiable specialism to provide detailed and specific advice the organization, collaborating with other specialists as appropriate.
• Reviewing capacity, performance, availability and other operational metrics, building reports and proposals for improvement and supporting the planning and implementation of installations and scheduled system maintenance.
• Preparing and maintaining operational procedures and providing technical expertise and appropriate information to management.

Nive to have:

• Knowledge of cloud security architecture and Zero Trust principles
• Experience in Azure DevOps and IaaC
• Managing third parties providing managed services.
