Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for the Atlas team. You will design, build, and operate scalable systems with autonomy, owning key components of the Atlas platform.

This role can sit in our NYC HQ on a hybrid basis, or can be fully remote while working from a location in Eastern or Central time zones. We value automation, reliability, and close collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience running critical systems at scale.
• Automation over manual work experience preferred.
• Familiar with AWS, Azure, or GCP in a multi-cloud environment.
• Strong Linux system administration fundamentals.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language (Go/Ruby/Python).
• Solid understanding of web/network protocols (HTTP, TLS, DNS).

Responsibilities

• Develop a reliable, scalable multi-cloud Atlas platform hosting business-critical applications.
• Collaborate with Atlas software teams; build tooling and automation to solve complex use cases.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations to ensure high availability and timely issue resolution.
