Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for the Fabric team. The role centers on networking, distributed systems, and automation to build and maintain a robust, scalable multi-cloud network that underpins MongoDB products.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in distributed systems with deep networking expertise and experience with cloud platforms and service mesh concepts. This is a remote role based in the United States.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in software and distributed systems with deep networking expertise.
Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and how the internet works (IPv6, DNS, TLS/mTLS).
Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Responsibilities

Contribute to a significant re-architecture of the multi-cloud, globally connected network.
Collaborate with service-owning teams to provide internal support and guidance on connectivity best practices.
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to resolve issues related to network architecture and service-to-service connectivity.
