Job summary

Transdev seeks an experienced General Manager to lead operations across multiple contracts in Metro Atlanta. Based in Atlanta, GA, you will build strong teams, drive safety culture, ensure reliable service, and deliver financial performance.

You will oversee staff, vendor and client relationships, manage budgets, and implement operational improvements. The role requires a four-year degree and at least 5 years of transit operations leadership.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation or related field.
• At least 5 years managing a fixed route or paratransit operation of similar size.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Thorough knowledge of transit regulations and operations.
• Ability to build strong client relationships and manage budgets.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; influence across levels.
• Experience navigating labor relations with unions.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with employees, the client, unions, and community.
• Set strategic direction for the business unit team per location/client contract.
• Lead management to achieve safety, service, and financial goals.
• Identify growth opportunities and optimize asset utilization.
• Measure KPIs and drive operational efficiency within budget.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and reporting; manage staff development.
