Job summary

Allied Universal, based in North America, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for our lobby/front desk role in Atlanta, GA. You will provide a welcoming, professional first impression, support access control, verify credentials, and protect visitors and staff while maintaining security procedures.

The position emphasizes flexible weekend hours, shift scheduling via our Claim a Shift platform, and opportunities for training and growth within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location, greet and direct visitors, verify credentials as required, and maintain visitor records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Receive and route calls, deliveries, and inquiries while maintaining awareness of activity in the lobby and adjacent entry areas.
• Complete required reports, logs, and other documentation related to access control, incidents, and daily front-desk operations.
