Job summary

Slalom, LLC is seeking a Power BI & Analytics Engineer in Atlanta, on-site five days a week, for a project-based contract starting October 5, 2026. The role focuses on developing and maintaining Power BI reporting solutions, analytics engineering initiatives, and modernizing enterprise reporting platforms.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, and data modeling, transforming complex data into actionable business insights.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in BI, Data Analytics, Analytics Engineering, or Data Engineering.
• Strong Power BI development, dashboards and reports.
• Data modeling and semantic modeling.
• Proficient in DAX and Power Query (M).
• Row-Level Security (RLS) experience.
• SQL skills for querying, analysis, and data validation.
• Understanding of analytics engineering, data warehousing, ETL/ELT concepts.
• Experience supporting enterprise reporting and analytics environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Build and optimize semantic models, measures, KPIs, and calculations.
• Develop scalable analytical solutions using Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M).
• Support Microsoft Fabric-based reporting and analytics environments.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into reporting solutions.
• Assist with data engineering activities, including ETL/ELT processes and data validation.
• Investigate and resolve reporting issues, data quality concerns, and refresh failures.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for dashboards and pipelines.
• Share knowledge and contribute to reporting best practices.
