Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Director of Business Development to establish and scale its Accounting & Finance practice in the Atlanta market. Based in Alpharetta, GA with a flexible schedule, this role leads new client acquisition and strategic partnerships while collaborating with delivery teams to match talent with needs.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in new business development, a hunter mindset, and proven quota attainment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of new business development experience in Accounting/Finance staffing.
• Proven track record of quota attainment in hunter-oriented roles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated with entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Drive net-new client partnerships in Accounting, Finance, and HR/Admin sectors.
• Develop and execute a territory growth strategy for logo acquisition and revenue growth.
• Build and maintain relationships with hiring managers and decision-makers.
• Own the full sales process from prospecting to close, including negotiations.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to align talent solutions with client needs and ensure execution.
• Maintain disciplined pipeline management and meet revenue targets.
