Job summary

Arlington Heights Park District is seeking an Athletic Supervisor to oversee youth athletics programs, including soccer, basketball, camps, and clinics at Sunset Meadows Turf Fields. You will plan events such as the 3v3 tournaments, develop staff and coaches, and coordinate program operations to enhance community recreation experiences.

The role requires a BA/BS in Parks and Recreation or related field, 1–3 years in athletic/recreation programming, and a valid Illinois driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation, Physical Education, or closely related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of demonstrated success as an athletic/recreation programmer.
• CPRP certification preferred but not required.
• Equivalent combination of education, experience, and training accepted.
• Valid Illinois Class D driver's license.
• CPR and AED certification required within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Recreation staff to organize and evaluate athletics programs.
• Direct supervision of youth soccer, youth basketball, classes, clinics, camps, and field operations.
• Budgeting, marketing, program guide content, and staffing responsibilities.
• Organize and facilitate annual 3v3 soccer and basketball tournaments and other events.
• Prepare coaches’ packets, manuals, and other materials.
• Plan participant and coaches meetings and coordinate logistics.
