Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Recreation Administration or related field with 1-2 years of progressive youth/adult sports experience.
• Experience supervising sports officials, coaches or scorekeepers is preferred.
• Knowledge of budgetary principles applied to athletics and basic marketing.

Responsibilities

• Direct, plan, coordinate, and evaluate outdoor and indoor athletic programs citywide.
• Create and maintain athletic schedules on a web-based system and manage registrations.
• Assist in budget preparation and revenue management; procure supplies and payroll tasks.
• Audit leagues each season and supervise staff; address citizen questions and complaints.
• Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating officials, scorekeepers, and coaches.
