The Town of Summerville, Parks & Recreation Department, is seeking a Recreation Coordinator - Athletics to plan, promote, and administer leagues, tournaments, and events at the Jerry Blackwell Sports Complex. You will manage registrations, facility rentals, and daily operations with a focus on safety and guest satisfaction.

Formación

• Associate degree in Parks and Recreation or related field or 2+ years of related experience and/or training.
• Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Red Cross CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Plans, promotes, registers, organizes, and administers leagues, tournaments, recreation programs, and special events.
• Orders and maintains equipment and supplies for programs and activities.
• Assists with hiring, supervising, and scheduling staff.
• Recruits and coordinates volunteer coaches and referees.
• Coordinates volunteer and staff training.
• Oversees seasonal youth camps, including registration, scheduling, staffing, activities, and daily operations.
• Communicates with parents and guardians regarding registration, schedules, and policies.
• Maintains program registrations and field rental transactions and records.
• Monitors weather and field conditions and postpones or cancels games as necessary to minimize risk.
