Job summary
Lamar University is seeking a Production Media Coordinator to coordinate and support multimedia productions for university events, athletics, marketing initiatives, and digital content. This role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to plan, produce, and deliver high-quality live and recorded media content.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or 2 years in media production, plus 2 years in live broadcast.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in media production, communications, digital media, or related field, or two years of professional experience in media production.
- Two years of experience in live broadcast production.
- Experience coordinating media production projects, events, or audiovisual operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute all phases of live and recorded media productions for athletics and university events.
- Oversee broadcast engineering operations, troubleshooting, maintenance and performance of audiovisual equipment.
- Schedule and manage production crews for multiple events and broadcasts, providing operational support and production expertise during live productions.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate student workers and part-time production staff.
- Assist with budget planning, monitor service agreements and equipment maintenance contracts, and stay current with industry trends.
