Job summary

Lamar University Athletics seeks a Production Coordinator to lead and coordinate all live broadcast productions for ESPN, ESPN3, and other platforms. You will oversee pre-production, live event execution, and post-production, ensuring high-quality broadcasts and reliable operations.

You will manage broadcast equipment, supervise student workers, assist with budgets, and collaborate with athletics and university stakeholders to deliver media services. Travel to events may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related field required; education/experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• 3+ years in live event production or broadcast operations.
• Experience operating audiovisual production systems.
• Experience in live event production and operation of broadcast equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all phases of live broadcast productions for Lamar University Athletics and broadcasts on ESPN, ESPN3, and other platforms.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and support broadcast equipment and technology infrastructure.
• Schedule, supervise, train, and evaluate student employees and part-time staff.
• Coordinate production resources with athletics staff and production personnel.
• Assist with budget development and procurement, monitor service agreements, and research emerging technologies.
