Job summary

University of Louisiana at Lafayette seeks a Manager of Athletic Finance and Administration to oversee the day-to-day finances of the Athletics business office. This role focuses on financial planning, resource allocation, budget forecasting, and rigorous financial reporting under the Chief Executive Officer of Louisiana Athletics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, business or related field.
• Two (2) years of directly related experience in financial management.
• Experience in reconciliation management and reporting.
• Demonstrated budget and financial reporting experience.
• Experience managing confidential and sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Intercollegiate Athletics daily fiscal functions with direct oversight of all accounting, auditing, control procedures and policies.
• Assist Deputy Director of Athletics/CFO in gathering and compiling data for department budget.
• Provide direct support to assigned sports and units and work with them to manage business functions.
• Monitor budget variances and prepare schedules to manage and forecast budget to actual financial results.
• Provide reporting and analysis including executive reporting and scorecards/performance metrics.
• Review and revise department fiscal policies and control procedures to comply with NCAA and university requirements.
• Perform internal audits and ensure controls are operating as designed.
• Track special fund distributions from NCAA and Sun Belt Conference to ensure expenditures are appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.
