Job summary

The University of Notre Dame Athletics department seeks an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day Joyce Center operations, safety, and readiness for events. You will lead facility operations, maintenance, and administrative functions while partnering with Athletics, University Operations, and event stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Degree in Business Administration, Facility Management, Sport Management, or related field preferred.
• 5–6 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of athletic facilities management and systems.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, maintenance, equipment, and appearance of the Joyce Center.
• Ensure interior and exterior are clean, safe, and fully operational.
• Coordinate with Building Services and Campus Maintenance for priorities.
• Monitor HVAC and facility access systems 24/7.
• Schedule preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Supervise maintenance and event staff; support hiring and training.
• Direct daily work assignments and monitor staff performance.
• Track and approve hours in Ultra-Time.
• Coordinate event scheduling, operations, and risk management with teams.
