Summary
Under general supervision the Equipment Manager is responsible for the management of all athletic uniforms and equipment for department teams.
Responsibilities
- Assist department coaches in purchasing athletic uniforms and equipment.
- Establish, maintain, and reconcile uniform and equipment inventories, and oversee the maintenance of all inventories for the department.
- Oversee uniform and equipment distribution and retrieval at practice and on game day.
- Oversee and coordinate all game day equipment preparations and setup.
- Ensure that all uniforms and related apparel and equipment are maintained in a clean and serviceable condition.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of athletic equipment staff and/or students engaged in the day-to-day performance of related activities including laundry and equipment repair.
- Transport team equipment to off-site venues as needed using university vehicles.
- Hire, train, schedule Equipment Room Support Staff.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in sports administration, sports management, or another related field.
Experience
- Three (3) years of experience working in an athletic department or working in equipment management.
Physical & Environmental
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Exposure to outside environments, hot, dry, wet, and cold.
Skills & Abilities
- Proven experience as an Athletic Equipment Manager or similar role.
- AEMA certified or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
- Ability to drive a personal or university vehicle for the purpose of university business on a regular basis.
- Ensure adherence to NCAA rules and institutional policies.
- Ability to travel when necessary.
- Valid driver's license required.

- Pay: $43,000-$45,000 Annually
