Job summary

Drake University is seeking a Director of Equipment Operations to oversee the equipment room and operations for 18 NCAA DI programs. You will establish procurement, inventory, disbursement, and maintenance plans and coordinate with coaches on apparel and gear purchases.

The role requires preparing budget recommendations and monitoring expenditures, with supervision of two full-time assistants and student staff. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in equipment operations.
• NCAA Division I athletics program or professional sports team experience preferred.
• AEMA certification preferred.
• Experience with equipment purchasing, distribution, collection, and laundering.
• Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate equipment room operations with coaches to purchase, inventory, and maintain apparel and gear.
• Ensure teams have proper apparel and gear for practice and competition.
• Prepare budgetary recommendations and monitor expenditure of funds.
• Coordinate athletics laundry and uniform repair.
• Supervise two full-time assistants and student staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
