Job summary

Columbus State University seeks a Director of Development for Athletics to lead fundraising efforts, cultivate major gifts, and steward donor relationships for CSU Athletics.

You will collaborate with University Advancement to develop strategies, manage campaigns, and ensure alignment with university priorities. Strong communication, travel flexibility, and ability to work evenings/weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Five years of development or fundraising experience preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate prospects and present proposals for leadership gifts of $25,000+ and maintain donor relationships.
• Identify and implement strategies to engage and retain top donors.
• Collaborate with University Advancement leadership on fundraising strategies.
• Document development and stewardship work in fundraising software.
• Coordinate with alumni relations and other university departments to align fundraising with academic priorities.
