Job summary

Covenant College Students in Lookout Mountain, GA, is seeking an athletic department laundry attendant for the full academic year. Open only to enrolled upperclassmen; freshmen are not eligible to apply for this position.

The role involves washing all athletic laundry in a timely, accurate manner, 10–20 hours weekly, with shifts Mon–Sat 8 am–10 pm in the gym laundry room. Duties include folding, organizing, and following the handbook.

• Night and weekend work may be required.

Job description

This position is for the full academic year, open only to enrolled upperclassmen. Freshmen are not eligible to apply for this position.

Purpose of the position: Wash all laundry for the athletic department in a timely and accurate manner

Expected hours of work per week: 10-20

Work Location & Hours: Gym Laundry Room; Mon- Sat 8 am-10 pm

Qualifications for Position:

1. An understanding of how to do laundry
2. A working knowledge of how to identify and distinguish various athletic uniforms
3. Accuracy and attention to detail are very important
4. Must be a current or incoming freshman Covenant Student
5. The schedule is flexible, but must be available to work morning and evening shifts at least 1-2 times a week.

Expected Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Ensure that all the laundry is done each night before the gym is closed
2. Ensure that all uniforms that are worn in games are hung up to dry
3. Make sure there are pink towels available at all times
4. Fold all towels and place them in their assigned locations
5. Keep the laundry room organized and clean
6. Various tasks assigned by the supervisor
7. Night and weekend work may be required
8. Closely follow the handbook and complete the checklist

Power washing: Uniforms in the spring season must be power washed. Students must be comfortable with operating equipment. Additional training will be provided.
