Job summary

VCU Athletics is seeking a Director of Ram Athletic Fund/Annual Giving to lead annual donations, manage a 100+ donor portfolio, and expand alumni engagement. The role collaborates with coaches, the Alumni Association, and the ticket office to raise funds and drive fan engagement.

The incumbent will oversee campaigns, events, and communications, track donor data, and plan initiatives to increase giving and donor retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field.
• Experience in stewardship, alumni/donor relations, and/or event coordination.
• Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize work and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual fundraising and donor relations for the Ram Athletic Fund.
• Solicit and steward a portfolio of 100+ prospects and donors.
• Collaborate with the Alumni Association and ticket office on fan engagement and fundraising.
• Develop and execute annual fundraising strategies and events.
• Prepare reports on fundraising progress and donor trends.
