Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Manager Athletic Training – Special Projects to lead a team of athletic trainers and oversee regional outreach programs. You will manage performance, ensure high-quality patient care and coordinate with physicians and schools.

The role involves program management, staffing, scheduling, and collaboration with sports medicine colleagues to improve service delivery across the community and clinics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from CAATE-accredited program.
• BOC certification and licensure as Certified Athletic Trainer in applicable state.
• BOC-certified Athletic Trainer with state licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, evaluate and lead a team of athletic trainers.
• Provide standard immediate care, evaluation, treatment, rehab and reconditioning.
• Coordinate referrals to medical professionals for optimal care.
• Promote safe, collaborative work environment for patients and staff.
• Deliver patient care in clinical and community settings.
• Coordinate operational aspects of orthopaedics and sports medicine programs.
• Oversee regional high school athletic trainer program and day-to-day management.
• Communicate professionally with players, physicians and staff.
• Attend meetings and required educational sessions.
