Job summary

Olympic Sports & Spine in Washington State seeks a Certified Athletic Trainer – Work Rehabilitation Specialist to lead workers' compensation rehabilitation, develop individualized plans, and support return-to-work goals.

You will collaborate with PTs, OTs, claims managers, and employers to restore function, implement work conditioning, and educate injured workers on prevention and recovery. A Bachelor's or Master's in Athletic Training with BOC and state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program.
• Current Board of Certification (BOC) credential for Athletic Trainers.
• Current state licensure/certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Treat injured workers and assist in rehabilitation and return-to-work plans.
• Deliver and oversee Work Conditioning and Work Hardening programs to restore function.
• Manage rehabilitation programs for workers recovering from occupational injuries.
• Perform job demand analyses and incorporate work simulation into treatment.
• Monitor progress and provide updates to providers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Communicate progress to PTs, OTs, claims managers, and employers.
• Educate injured workers on injury prevention and recovery expectations.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation compliant with regulations.
• Participate in case reviews and return-to-work planning meetings.
• Assist with ergonomic assessments and injury prevention initiatives.
