Job summary

Barton College seeks an Assistant/Associate Athletic Trainer to work under the supervision of the Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine. This role involves preventing, evaluating, and managing injuries within the college's comprehensive sports medicine program.

Responsibilities include coordinating medical coverage for competitions, maintaining thorough records, and collaborating with physicians and other health professionals to care for student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree in appropriate area required.
• BOC certification, North Carolina athletic training licensure, and First Aid/CPR.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
• Knowledge of NCAA regulations and eligibility rules.
• High ethical standards with ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prevent athletic injuries and illnesses; evaluate and treat injuries.
• Deliver care in collaboration with doctors and other health professionals.
• Perform athletic training administrative duties.
• Coordinate and schedule medical coverage for home and away competitions.
• Recordkeeping and documentation of treatments and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to care for student-athletes.
