Job summary

Baptist Health Care is seeking an Athletic Trainer I to prevent, assess, manage, and rehabilitate athletic injuries across assigned schools and events. This role engages schools, sites, and communities as an ambassador for Baptist Health Care, Andrews Institute, and the Sports Medicine department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training required.
• Master's degree in Athletic Training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow hospital and departmental guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Obtain equipment needed for quality patient care at all sites (schools/events).
• Provide athletic health care services to assigned schools/sites within Florida scope of practice.
• Document injuries and related data and reports by deadlines.
• Participate in departmental events and activities (e.g., concussion baseline testing).
• Communicate effectively with sports medicine team members and leadership.
• Act as ambassador for Baptist Health Care, Andrews Institute, and sports medicine outreach.
• Complete other departmental requirements and pursue professional growth.
• Maintain current knowledge/certification/licensure and pursue ongoing development.
