The role requires Texas licensure for athletic trainers and BLS certification, with HIPAA/FERPA compliance and supervision by a team physician. This is a full-time position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Licensed Athletic Trainer credentialed from the Texas Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers obtained within 6 Months of hire.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month of hire; AHA or Red Cross accepted.
• Background or training in athletic training education, Kinesiology, or related field.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn software used in athletic training.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate injuries and develop treatment and exercise plans within scope of practice under supervising physician.
• Provide medical care and support to athletes during practices and games, ensuring safety and quick emergency intervention.
• Assist in coordinating appointments, surgeries, and post-operative care with team physicians, surgeons, and therapists.
• Supervise athletic training interns/students, manage treatment scheduling, maintain medical records, and ensure HIPAA/FERPA compliance.

Education

Licensed Athletic Trainer credentialed from the Texas Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers

BLS Provider (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience

Associate's degree/Technical degree

4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
