Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health in Denver seeks an Orthopedic Sports Medicine supervisor to oversee daily clinical staff and coordinate staffing, training, and performance management in the Foot and Ankle department.

This onsite, full-time role requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), NATA certification, Colorado licensure, BLS, and at least one year of orthopedic clinic experience; salary is hourly and commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • NATA certification and Colorado Athletic Trainer licensure.
  • BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in an Orthopedic clinic; residency preferred.

Work Schedule:Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift:Days

Pay:$29.54 - $44.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary:
Supervisesdaily clinical staff activities for the Orthopedic Sports Medicine program.

Responsibilities:

  • Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.
  • Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Assesses quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels. Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree. Preferred: Master's degree.
  • Required Licensure/Certification: Certification by National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA). Registration with the State of Colorado as an Athletic Trainer. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
  • Minimum Experience: 1-year clinical experience in an Orthopedic clinic. Preferred: residency trained.
